STEP ONE

Once you have come to the realization that a career in real estate is of interest, then you begin the broker interview process. In this process you simply make an appointment with the real estate offices or companies that you feel will compliment your personal career. It is recommended that you wear business attire and have a list of questions prepared in advance. Once you have completed the interview process, you will have made a decision as to which real estate company you wish to join upon successful completion of the course requirements. Contact the broker of choice to meet and begin preparations for your new career choice.

STEP TWO

"Real Estate as a Professional Career" is a correspondence or home study course that has three segments or three phases to complete. On your decision to begin a career in real estate you must go to the Manitoba Real Estate Association offices to pick up your course material. The course  includes all material plus review classroom sessions and three separate exams. You can also purchase one phase at a time, which would be three separate installments for each phase of course material. A passing mark of 70% or better is the minimum requirement for each phase of the exams.

STEP THREE

Upon completion of all three exams you are now ready to begin your new career in real estate. When you receive your final mark in the mail you have six months from the date of this letter to enter your real estate career. Simply call the manager or broker of the real estate company that you have decided to join and you will be ready to start.
