What is a RSS Feed?

How to view RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed," "web feed," or "channel," contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.

RSS content can be read using software called an "RSS reader," "feed reader" or an "aggregator." The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed's link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.

The initials "RSS" are used to refer to the following formats:

* Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)
* RDF Site Summary (RSS 1.0 and RSS 0.90)
* Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)

RSS formats are specified using XML, a generic specification for the creation of data formats.

The Manager, Business Development also has responsibility for recruiting new and seasoned agents as part of their business development strategies.

REPRESENTATIVES DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare annual business development plan.
• Define follow-up of yearly targets and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies for developing new business initiatives as well as for attracting new and seasoned agents.
• Determine new opportunities by analyzing business needs; obtain approval from supervisors.
• Develop and manage communication tools such as corporate website; establish profile with business organizations, educational institutions and other appropriate organizations.
• Serve as lead facilitator for related projects.
• Proactively search for target business.
• Build networks required to meet goals and recruit new business and agents.
• Develop and manage marketing tools.
• Assist with training and development of new agents and other related positions within the organization.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree; business administration or marketing preferred.
• Current Real Estate License, preferably in the Province of Manitoba (or be able to obtain such licensure).
• 5 -6 years related experience; experience in the real estate industry is preferred.
• Pro-active self-starter who can operate both individually and as part of a team.
• Outstanding skills in the area of business analysis.
• Superior presentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Experience and/or formal training in technology.
• An acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.

Location:
The Manager, Business Development may work between both locations - 1046 St. Mary’s Road and 1901 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Salary:
Combination of base salary and performance pay.
